I was always the responsible kid. From elementary to high school, and even in college, I was always playing the "mom" role in my friendships. I wanted desperately to go out and party and have fun the way everyone else was, but all I could ever think about was the consequences an activity may have on my life...my dream...my goals. I was always a practical thinker, something that my peers had no way of understanding. I remember my mother telling me recently, that I was born with wisdom that for some didn't come until adulthood if at all, yet for me I was lucky to be born with it. As an adult now I can look back and kind of agree with her...maybe I was lucky. But as a child it was a double edged sword which to this day I feel got in the way of experiences that I now wish I had. However, now that I'm in my 30's I am finally comfortable in my own skin. I like who I am, and I'm very proud of the person I have become.Flawed Mommyhttp://www.flawedmommy.com/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8991418575177100597.post-73301602032568516322013-01-21T21:10:56.125-05:002013-01-21T21:10:56.125-05:00Well, as someone who can say they know you "i...Well, as someone who can say they know you "inside and out", you are a truly amazing person and I'm so glad that we're friends. :)CEKhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13972353976076284541noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8991418575177100597.post-16328207711786943242013-01-21T13:46:27.899-05:002013-01-21T13:46:27.899-05:00I love that line: I'm the best me I know how t...I love that line: I'm the best me I know how to be. High school sucks for most and the ones that love it usually end up as losers later in life. You do fit in, you fit in with millions and millions of misfits. Misfits create 99% of the good stuff in life.joehhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08520161706680568508noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8991418575177100597.post-87925555599077502762013-01-21T09:29:14.163-05:002013-01-21T09:29:14.163-05:00Jenn, I'm having a cup of tea right now and I&...Jenn, I'm having a cup of tea right now and I'm raising it to you. It's chai. A little different. Fitting, isn't it? I terrorized the nuns in Catholic school too. Didn't fit in most of the time - still don't - not even in my own family of origin. I totally relate to what you're saying and what you're saying about blogging. Thank Goddess for blogging and for all the amazing people we meet along the way, like you, my friend. I do my best writing in the a.m. too. The kids are off to school, I'm sitting here in my yoga pants and sweatshirt and notbody's around except all the lovely folks on the internets. ;) xxLinda Royhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11285985403444531922noreply@blogger.com
